About Arcadia
What To Expect
Arcadia is a dedicated piercing-only studio located in historic Coolidge Corner, Brookline. The studio opened its doors in 2021, right after the COVID-19 lockdown was lifted and people were able to get back to work. Started by Brian Farley and his apprentice-turned-business partner, Morgan Mitera, the goal of Arcadia was to create a piercing studio that had something for everyone. Within a year of Arcadia opening, Farley suddenly passed away, leaving Morgan in charge of the business.
While Morgan was the lesser experienced piercer of the duo, she didn’t let the passing of Farley diminish the drive to create a piercing studio where people felt welcome, no matter how much they were spending or if they were pierced at Arcadia versus somewhere else. Farley and Morgan shared a love for forming friendships with clients and the studio really reflects those feelings. Even though Farley is no longer here, Morgan has worked hard to improve piercing processes, jewelry selection, aftercare procedures, and so much more.
Over the years, the staff of Arcadia has grown to include some of the most well rounded and talented people the Boston area has to offer. The studio takes pride in the friendly atmosphere it has cultivated, as well as having open doors to anyone who may need piercings assistance.
Professional Piercers
The piercers at Arcadia are all licensed through the Town of Brookline and additionally, take multiple classes every year in order to further their knowledge of an ever-changing skill. Arcadia piercers attend the Fakir Intensives courses located in San Diego, as well as the Association of Professional Piercers conference in Las Vegas. Additionally, the piercers will sometimes travel to more local classes taught by leading industry professionals. All of the piercers also currently hold valid First Aid/CPR & BBP certifications.
Jewelry Specialists
The jewelry specialists at Arcadia have an eye for jewelry cohesion and gem color combinations. They are there to not only check in clients for appointments and cash them out but to assist with choosing the perfect piece for every piercing. Jewelry specialists at Arcadia are First Aid/CPR trained and are BBP certified every year. With a vast knowledge of the jewelry the studio carries, aftercare, and anatomy, the jewelry specialists at Arcadia can do almost everything in the studio besides do piercing.
Clean Environment
All needles, tools, and jewelry are sterilized using some of the best equipment available. These machines are routinely inspected and spore tested to ensure that they are working correctly. The studio utilizes two Statim 2000 G4s and a Statim 2000. Needles are single-use, and piercing guns are not used for any procedure. Arcadia uses the best sterilization and piercing equipment to ensure the health and safety of clients. Arcadia is a fully disposable studio, meaning anything used in a piercing or jewelry change is discarded in the appropriate container after each procedure.
High Quality Jewelry
The jewelry used at Arcadia Professional Body Piercing is all implant-grade titanium, niobium, or solid 14k/18k gold. Implant-grade titanium is a very biocompatible material and works incredibly well for all clients, even those with sensitive skin. It is the same material that surgeons use for bone screws or hip replacements. The gold jewelry sold in the studio is solid, not plated or painted. Many of the gold pieces can be used for initial piercings. Due to insurance reasons, Arcadia is not permitted to install jewelry that is not from a vendor that is currently carried in the studio, whether in a healed or fresh piercing.

Clients who visit Arcadia can step through the doors knowing they will be helped to the best of the staff’s abilities. There are no wrong questions to ask and having kind, fun professionals to assist clients through every step of the healing process is part of getting a piercing. Whether it is general questions, a problematic piercing, need glass retainers for a surgery, a jewelry upgrade, or anything else, Arcadia is here for all of types of piercing needs.
