Thank you so much for choosing to visit us! After our move to Coolidge Corner, our policies have changed so even if you’ve been in before, be sure to read through the answers to the frequently asked questions. Our new studio allows us to accept more clients and it’s easier for us to just sell jewelry, even without an appointment. If you are over the age of 18, you will need to bring your valid, government issued photo ID. The Board of Health requires that a photo of your ID be attached to the digital release form that clients are required to complete.
A new release form must be filled out for each new piercing procedure so please always bring your ID with you even if you’ve visited us before! Please note we are unable to accept military ID as a form of identification.
If you are under the age of 18, we will need your birth certificate with the raised seal and/or the original stamp as well as your parent/legal guardian present with their valid, government issued photo ID with matching information to the birth certificate. If you do not have these documents at the time of your appointment, we will not be able to do your piercing, even if you have previously been to Arcadia before. No, you do not need to schedule your appointment using a legal name. Please use your chosen name (or the chosen name of the person your booking for) when scheduling an appointment. The only time you will be required to use your legal name is when filling out the consent forms (the forms that also require photos of your ID).
When booking an appointment, the system will ask for card information, and you will be charged a fee based on the service you have selected (the deposit price is the cost of the service requested). This fee is applied toward the service that you select and covers the cost of supplies used. This means that when you come for your appointment, you will only have to purchase jewelry and (if you’d like) aftercare. All deposits for piercing services are non-refundable.
Walk-ins for most piercings are available Monday through Thursday from 12pm until 6pm and Friday through Sunday from 11am until 6pm. Appointments are still bookable until 8pm.
There are days of the week where there is still only one piercer on so weekday walk-in availability may be somewhat limited. The earlier you arrive, the better!
Monday through Thursday, the studio will close for 30 minutes between 3pm and 4pm so the staff is able to eat lunch.
Please note that there are still some piercings that require appointments.
Due to high complexity and anatomy dependency of certain piercings, we do not offer them during walk-in hours. These piercings usually require more in depth procedures so they are only done by scheduling an appointment. The piercings that are not available during walk-in hours are paired nostril piercings/matching up a new nostril piercing with an existing one, septum piercings, eyebrow piercings, tongue piercings, nipple piercings, and genital piercings.
At this time, we are requiring that minor clients still book appointments for piercings through the online booking system due to the longer process it takes due to paperwork. If you are under the age of 18, please book an appointment using the menu below!
Due to insurance liability issues, we cannot have children under the age of 14 in the studio unless they are getting pierced or have someone over the age of 18 to watch them. Children are not allowed in the piercing rooms if they are not getting pierced.
We occasionally offer seasonal discounts that can change randomly. We are currently running two piercings deals at the moment. The first is if you come in as a walk-in on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, for a piercing and decide to get a second one, the second piercing is half off of the service fee (must mention the deal to staff before cashing out to receive the discount).
Our second current deal is if you come in with a friend as a walk-in and you both get pierced, you both get half off of your service fee (each client must get the same amount of piercings in order to use multiple discounts, limit of three piercings per client at one time, must mention the deal to staff to receive discount).
We also occasionally run seasonal/holiday specials which are usually posted on our social media and Google page!

If you have been to Arcadia before and would like to use jewelry that you have already worn, we can do that providing the piece works in the new piercing. Should you want to reuse jewelry, we request that you bring your jewelry in to be reprocessed at least 24 hours before you would like to get your piercing. This gives the staff enough time to properly clean and reprocess the jewelry so that it is useable for a fresh piercing. There is a $10 reprocessing fee applied at check out for reprocessing jewelry that was previously purchased at Arcadia. Please note that we cannot reuse any pieces that have been inside the body (posts, barbell shafts, rings, etc). We are only able to safely reprocess decorative ends. Please feel free to call the studio with any additional questions.
We now offer navel (belly button) piercings as a walk-in only service and only for clients over the age of 18. Currently, we do not offer navel piercings for minors. If you are over the age of 18 and would like to come in for a navel piercing, we accept walk-ins from 12pm until 6:45pm Monday through Thursday and from 11am until 6:45pm Friday through Sunday but sometimes end walk-ins early if it gets too busy so it’s best to arrive early if possible!
When you come in, your piercer will do an anatomy consult to determine if we are able to do the piercing and the front of house will go over the options valuable for your individual anatomy. The piercing service fee is $50 and the jewelry cost will depend on what you end up picking out as well as what anatomy allows for.

If you have jewelry from another studio and are interested in using it in a fresh piercing, we require that the piece of jewelry be from a vendor that we carry at Arcadia due to insurance reasons. You can bring the piece in to have it looked at by the staff as well as ensure that the piece is a good size/shape for the new piercing. If you know the studio it was purchased at or the name of the company that made it, that is also helpful. If we are able to use the piece, there is a $20 reprocessing fee and the jewelry must be dropped off at Arcadia a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the piercing. We are not able to reuse any pieces of jewelry that go inside the body such as posts, barbell shafts, or rings. We are not able to use any jewelry that does not come from one of our vendors.
Due to insurance reasons, we are not permitted to use any jewelry from a vendor that we do not carry. If you are curious about a piece that you have purchased somewhere other than Arcadia and would like to know if we will install it, you can either email us a photo or bring the piece in so that we can look at it. If you know the company who made the jewelry or the studio that you purchased it at, please include that information as well. If your jewelry is not from a company that Arcadia carries, we will not be able to install it, even in a healed piercing. We do not install any jewelry purchased from Etsy or Amazon.
Client are limited to a maximum of three piercings per sitting. Getting more than this in a single sitting can drastically increase the risk of feeling faint or dizzy after the procedure. Additionally, the more piercings that the body needs to heal puts strain on the immune system. This will cause the piercings to heal slower as well as make the body more susceptible to sickness.
We do our best to accommodate clients who arrive late but due to our to our busy schedule, if you are late to your appointment, there will be a late fee applied. If you have an appointment for piercings and are more than 5 minutes late, there will be a $5 late fee applied to the appointment. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late to your appointment, the appointment will need to be rescheduled and there is a $15 rescheduling fee applied.
Fifteen minute jewelry change appointments that are more than 5 minutes late may be asked to wait around other clients or will be asked to reschedule. If you choose to reschedule, there is a $5 rescheduling fee applied to your appointment.
Thirty minute jewelry change appointments that are more than 10 minutes late will be asked to reschedule and a $15 rescheduling fee will be applied to the appointment.
If you do not show up to your appointment and do not contact us to inform us, you will be marked as a no call/no show and banned from using our booking system in the future, and your deposit will be considered forfeited.
If you need to reschedule your appointment, you will need to reach out to the studio via call/text/email. Rescheduled piercing appointments are subject to a $15 fee if rescheduled within 24 hours of the start time or if a client arrives too late for us to accommodate their piercing.
Rescheduled fifteen minute jewelry change appointments are subject to a $5 rescheduling fee if rescheduled within twenty-four-hours of the start time or if a client arrives too late for us to accommodate them. However, since these appointments are only 15 minutes, it may be possible to squeeze these in between other appointments but there may be a wait time.
Rescheduled thirty minute jewelry change appointments are subject to a $15 rescheduling fee if rescheduled within twenty-four-hours of the start time or if a client arrives too late or us to accommodate them.
Appointments that are cancelled within 24 hours of the start time (or “same day”) will forfeit their deposit. You must contact the studio at least 24 hours in advance to cancel an appointment to receive a refund.
If you book a piercing within 24 hours (or “same day”) and then cancel that appointment before the start time, you will forfeit your deposit.
If you would like to get pierced with one or two of your friends in the same time slot, please select one of the Group Piercing appointments to schedule a time for you all to come in for your new adornments. Please be sure to read the limitations of Group Appointments.
Here at Arcadia, we offer earlobe piercing for clients as young as 7. We do require that the young clients have a sort of consult before doing the piercings, where they will meet their piercer and be able to discuss the procedure as well as the aftercare involved. Typically, we like the child to leave the studio and think about the process for a few days to a few weeks to ensure that they’re ready for the commitment. However, if you are able to bring the proper documents (the child’s original birth certificate as well as the parent/legal guardian’s valid, government-issued ID with matching information, the child does well during the consult, and there is another piercer on staff, we may be able to perform the piercings the same day. Please note that only Morgan offers piercings for younger clients at this time and the consults are still required to be booked through the website.

Arcadia doesn’t have its own parking lot but there is plenty of metered parking in the center and on the sides of Beacon Street. There is also a public paid lot on Centre Street, directly behind the studio. Still having trouble? There is also the John Street lot (paid parking), which is a bit further away but still walkable distance!
