Book an appointment

Welcome to Arcadia!

We are so excited to see you for your new adornment or to upgrade one that you already have. Here, you will find some answers to commonly asked questions clients have when they visit Arcadia, as well as our online booking system. You can select the service you would like to receive, the date and time for your appointment, and even choose your desired piercer if you’d like (or simply click “Any Available” for the system to automatically schedule you with the soonest available piercer).

  • We now accept walk-ins every day from 4 pm until 7 pm for basic piercings (earlobes, helix/cartilage/flat, rook, daith, tragus, nostril, and conch). Our studio is small and we do our best to get to every client who wishes to come see us. Since we still have appointments booked during this time, walk-ins are subject to varying wait times as the appointments take priority. It is highly recommended that you book an appointment with us to ensure that you are seen!

  • Due to high complexity and anatomy dependency of certain piercings, we do not offer them during walk-in hours. These piercings usually require more in depth procedures so they are only done by scheduling an appointment. The piercings that are not available during walk-in hours are industrial piercings, bridge piercings, septum piercings, navel piercings, anti-tragus piercings, and nipple piercings.

  • If you are over the age of 18, you will need to bring your valid, government issued photo ID. The Board of Health requires that a photo of your ID be attached to the digital release form that clients are required to complete. A new release form must be filled out for each new piercing procedure so please always bring your ID with you even if you’ve visited us before! Please note we are unable to accept military ID as a form of identification.

  • If you are under the age of 18, we will need your original birth certificate as well as your parent/legal guardian present with their valid, government issued photo ID with matching information to the birth certificate. If you do not have these documents at the time of your appointment, we will not be able to do your piercing, even if you have previously been to Arcadia before. A new release form must be filled out for each new piercing procedure so please always bring your documents with you even if you’ve visited us before! Please note we are unable to accept military ID as a form of identification.

  • When booking an appointment, the system will ask for card information, and you will be charged a fee based on the service you have selected (the deposit price is the cost of the service requested). This fee is applied toward the service that you select, which means that when you come for your appointment, you will only have to purchase jewelry and (if you’d like) aftercare. All deposits for piercing services are non-refundable.

  • No, we will not pierce with or put in jewelry that does not come from our studio. Since we do not know the quality of outside jewelry, we are unable to tell if it will give you a poor reaction or if it will damage the machines that we use for sterilization. All the jewelry used at Arcadia Professional Body Piercing is implant-grade titanium, niobium, solid gold, or implant-grade steel. These materials are very bio-compatible and are great for body jewelry, as clients with sensitive skin can wear it without reacting.

  • Client are limited to a maximum of three piercings per sitting. Getting more than this in a single sitting can drastically increase the risk of feeling faint or dizzy after the procedure. Additionally, the more piercings that the body needs to heal puts strain on the immune system. This will cause the piercings to heal slower as well as make the body more susceptible to sickness.

  • We do our best to accommodate clients who arrive late but due to our to our busy schedule, if you are late to your appointment, there will be a late fee applied. If you have an appointment for piercings and are more than 5 minutes late, there will be a $5 late fee applied to the appointment. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late to your appointment, the appointment will need to be rescheduled and there is a $15 rescheduling fee applied.

Jewelry change appointments for 1-3 piercings that are more than 5 minutes late may be asked to wait around other clients or will be asked to reschedule. If you choose to reschedule, there is a $5 rescheduling fee applied to your appointment.

Jewelry change appointments for 4-8 piercings that are more than 10 minutes late will be asked to reschedule and a $15 rescheduling fee will be applied to the appointment.

  • Rescheduled piercing appointments are subject to a $15 fee if rescheduled within twenty-four-hours of the start time or if a client arrives too late for us to accommodate their piercing.

Rescheduled jewelry change appointments for 1-3 piercings are subject to a $5 rescheduling fee if rescheduled within twenty-four-hours of the start time or if a client arrives too late for us to accommodate them. However, since these appointments are only 15 minutes, it may be possible to squeeze these in between other appointments but there may be a wait time.

Rescheduled jewelry change appointments for 4-8 piercings are subject to a $15 rescheduling fee if rescheduled within twenty-four-hours of the start time or if a client arrives too late or us to accommodate them.

  • If you would like to get pierced with one or two of your friends in the same time slot, please select one of the Group Piercing appointments to schedule a time for you all to come in for your new adornments. Please be sure to read the limitations of Group Appointments.

  • Here at Arcadia, we offer earlobe piercing for clients as young as 7. We do require that clients age 7 to 11 come in for a pre-piercing consult to not only explain the process in depth to the young client but to make sure that they consent to the piercing procedure. This consult is a requirement and the piercings are not done on the same day as the consult and will be booked for a later date and time. We understand that traveling can be difficult but our concern is for the young clients and we aim to give them the best possible experience, which starts with them making the conscious, responsible choice to get their ears pierced.

  • Since the regulations in Brookline do not permit us to pierce clients under the age of 7, we strongly recommend that parents looking for a professional, safe, and clean place for their young child’s earlobe piercings contact the Piercing Emporium located in Worcester, MA.

  • At this time, we do not offer any oral piercings. We hope to add these to our menu in the future.
